  • The Type 2 system (the classic control room floor) consists of a self-supporting substructure with C-profiles screwed to the pedestals and a wood-based material (chipboard), calcium sulphate or steel panels lying on top. The load bearing capacities for the walking area range from 3,000 N to 20,000 N according to DIN EN 12825.
  • The Type 3 system consists of powder coated steel panels that rest directly on the pedestal heads gaskets. The material, in combination with matching adhesives and top coverings, provides a high safety level regarding conductivity for ESD areas. The load bearing capacity of the standard systems ranges up to 6 kN according to DIN EN 12825. The System Type 3 Dynamic consists of a self-supporting substructure with profiles screwed to the pedestals and interlacing at the panel level. This gives the powder coated steel panels   lateral support and transfers shear forces directly into the extremely rigid substructure. From 15 kN on, a standardized panel screwing intensifies this effect. The load bearing capacities range from 5,000 to 25,000 N according to DIN EN 12825. Depending on the type a metallic lamination of the underside may be necessary. Possible top coverings range from elastic or textile coverings, to checker plate, parquet or natural stone.
  • The MERO floor panel type 5 consists of high-density chipboard of the emission class E1 meeting highest requirements. The emission tests are carried out acc. to international requirements (system tests = panel + pedestal): • ASTM D 5116-97 (American Emission Test) covers the requirements of LEED (=Leadership in Energy and Environment). This also meets the requirements of the ‘Green Label, Singapore’. • ISO 16000: worldwide approved emission test • AgBB/DIBT: product emission test. This method is applied in Germany. The panel edges are chamfered milled and protected all round by synthetic trim against mechanical damages and humidity. The surface and/or bottom side of the panel can be provided with galvanized steel sheet or aluminum foil by advanced backing procedure. The panel is available in different qualities, thicknesses and dimensions. MERO-TSK is using only environmental[1]friendly materials for their production. The material can be recycled or disposed without any problem for the environment.
  • The MERO floor panel Type 6 consists of a fiber-reinforced calcium sulfate panel with fire behavior conforming to class A1 according to the European standard DIN EN 13501. The emission tests are carried out according to international requirements (system tests = panel + pedestal): • ASTM D 5116-97 (American Emission Test) covers the requirements of LEED (=Leadership in Energy and Environment). This also meets the requirements of the ‘Green Label, Singapore’. • ISO 16000: emission testing recognized worldwide • AgBB/DIBT: product emission test. This method is applied in Germany. The panel edges are chamfered milled and protected all round by synthetic trim against mechanical damages and humidity. The sur[1]face and/or bottom side of the panel can be provided with galvanized steel sheet or aluminum foil by advanced backing procedure. The panel is available in different qualities, thicknesses and dimensions. MERO-TSK is using only environmental[1]friendly materials for their production. • The Type 6 Silent system works like an acoustic ceiling system at floor level. The perforated calcium sulfate panels absorb sound energy, thereby reducing reverberation and ensuring pleasant acoustics in the room. The free cross section of 10,5% to 26% allows, for example with a Needlefelt quality Vebe Strong 956 (rolls) and an acoustic fleece glued to the underside, a rated sound absorption level of αw of 0,50 (LH) to 0,70 (LH). In addition to its acoustic properties, it can also be used as an air ventilation floor.
  • The MERO aluminum floor panels of high load bearing capacity guarantee a virtually torsion-free floor construction with very low system weight. Therefore, they are an ideal solution for vessels and offshore platforms, where every kilogram counts. This enabled MERO-TSK to realize an order of 1000 m2 access floor on a floating platform with a system for liquefaction of natural gas in Cadiz/Spain. For the equipment of the switch and control facilities the special type 2-600 construction with light-weight aluminum panels had been chosen. Today, the platform is at its final location and is the heart of the only exporting gas liquefaction plant in Europe in front of the island Melkoya near the Norwegian Hammerfest. The MERO aluminum floor panels allow the construction in cleanrooms in every size and shape. Perforated ventilation panels allow turbulence free extraction of air through the floor cavity. Crucial for the functioning of the ventilation concept is the variability and flexibility of the free air flow. The relevant factors are size and type of the perforation which allow the adaption to the different air conditioning concepts.
